the outside area could have been lovely, if it wasn’t for the trash everywhere, and to make matters worse, i mistakenly thought i’d get a complimentary upgrade, but that was just wishful thinking! they also charged Q150 for a boat ride, which is totaly outrageous. almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

The garden area behind the reception is a total eyesore, filled with trash!!! Also, it's frustrating that Q150 is charged for a one-way boat ride, which feels unfair given the location. Furthermore, late-night boat pickups should be complimentary until at least 9:30 pm!!!

The sandwiches were killer! Plus, our Double Room with Lake View offered stunning views of the lake. The food was decent, nothing groundbreaking, but it hit the spot after a day of exploring.

Staying at Mayan Spirit was a peaceful retreat by the lake. The private beach with hammocks offered a perfect spot for relaxation. I especially loved the stunning views of Flores island from my room. The staff, particularly Kevin, provided helpful service, especially when arranging boat transfers. However, the outdoor areas needed more attention. the leisure area had trash and leaves that detracted from the scenery. Also, I found it frustrating that boat rides back after 9 PM cost more and weren't clearly communicated upfront. All in all, the location has great potential with some necessary improvements to the facilities.

Like, the vibe here was sooo chill! I could totally get used to those chill hammocks by the lake. The staff, especially Kevin, was super cool and helpful. it felt like hanging out with friends. Just a heads up, plan your boat rides back ‘cause it gets pricey. Totally loved the nature and peacefulness, like howler monkeys right next to us!

stayed at mayan spirit for two nights and loved the low-key vibe. the rooms were clean and simple, and sitting by the lake was so calming. the staff was super helpful when arranging boat rides. hiking the trail behind the hotel was a highlight, offering great views and a chance to spot monkeys.
